Warmest greetings from Stepping Stone and Happy Thanksgiving to you! I can hardly believe that it is already November! With all the wonderful things we love about this season (family, good food, thankfulness) the farthest thing from our mind tends to be to the next cold and flu season. Unfortunately, the cold and flu can be a part of this season too. Here are just a few suggestions on ways you can help to prevent the spread of a cold or the flu this holiday season. The number ONE way to prevent the spread of germs that can cause a cold, flu or other illness is through proper hand washing. Stopping the spread of germs benefits not only you but everyone at Boulder Estates. Below you will find a few pointers on ways to have a healthier holiday season.
When should I wash my hands?
After using the bathroom
When helping a friend/family who is ill
After sneezing, coughing or blowing your nose
After you remove your garbage
Before and after eating
How do I properly wash my hands?
Wet your hands with running water
Lather your hands by rubbing your hands together with soap, rub the backs of your hands, between your fingers and under your nails
Scrub your hands for at least 20 seconds (sing the song Happy Birthday twice)
Rinse and dry your hands with a clean towel
If soap and water is not available and your hands are not visibly dirty you may use hand sanitizer
